What is the first thing you should do before using the Chomp Saw?

Start cutting immediately.

Turn it off, unplug it, and use a brush or vacuum to remove debris

Wash it with water, and liquid soap to rinse it out, it is important as the soap will act as a lubricant for the saw

Wipe it with your hands.

Leave it dirty for the next user.

No one, try to fix it yourself.

Avoid using the machine altogether.

Try to figure it out yourself, all machines are simple for me to figure outon my own

Only after it is turned off and unplugged

You can leave it unattended at any time.

After making your last cut, leave it on for other students to use

When you are sure no one else is near.

Why should you avoid cutting wet cardboard?

They are harder to clean up, plus wet cardboard might start a fire

They make the saw look dirty.

They can cause the blade to slip or bind, creating a hazard

It takes longer to cut them.

Safety glasses

No protective gear is needed

Why is it important to keep hands a safe distance from the blade?

To avoid serious injury

It isn’t important.

To prevent the material from slipping.

So the blade doesn’t dull

What should you do if the blade is dull or damaged?

Notify the STAC teacher immediately

Keep using it but apply more pressure.

Try to fix it yourself.

Ignore it and continue cutting.

Unplug it while it's running.

Use the designated power switch

Let it stop on its own after use.

Wait for someone else to turn it off

What should you do if the material becomes jammed in the saw?

Turn off the machine and unplug it before attempting to remove the material

Ask a friend to help you pull it out while it’s running.

Because it’s uncomfortable, also loose clothes is not really stylish in the STAC room but might be somewhere else

Stand far away and stretch to reach the saw.

Stand infront of it and keep a balanced posture

Lean directly over the saw, so you can see the cuts better from a birdeye view

Sit down while cutting.

Losing my certification

The last person to use it is responisble for cleaning.

Nothing at all we do not have to clean up after ourselves
